FastCGI FOR reverse Proxies

Andrew Ayer has an interesting post about how CGI solves a lot of the pitfalls that HTTP has in reverse proxies.

He does mention some of the shortcomings and lack of support for an older protocol. But still a good read on a name that I haven’t heard in a long time.
